Huang Zhi Xiang Dancong

Huang Zhi Xiang Dancong

Huang Zhi Xiang, meaning “Gardenia Aroma,” is a refined Dancong oolong from the Phoenix Mountain region of Guangdong Province. It is admired for its graceful floral fragrance, gentle sweetness, and elegant, composed character.

Origin & Background

Huang Zhi Xiang is produced from selected Dancong cultivars traditionally cultivated in the Phoenix Mountain area. Its name reflects the tea’s distinctive natural aroma, which evokes fresh gardenia blossoms rather than any added scenting.

Processing & Oxidation

Huang Zhi Xiang undergoes extended withering and careful bruising to encourage aromatic development. Oxidation is typically moderate, allowing floral notes to remain clear and poised. Roasting is applied lightly to stabilise the tea while preserving its fragrance.
